Dr. Ferdinand Bauer and I share a deep friendship and a high level of professional respect. Dr. Bauer is not only an outstanding radiologist, with medical insight that effortlessly extends into the surgeons’ operating theater, but also an exceptional manager and a person capable of building bridges between people and professionals.

Through his active involvement in the radiological community, Dr. Bauer has repeatedly demonstrated his strong commitment to promoting continuous medical education, collaboration, and professional development. Over the years, he has organized numerous exchange programs through his clinics, opening doors to the international radiology community and offering young professionals the opportunity to learn and grow in this dynamic field.

Perhaps the most memorable example of his dedication is the experience of the SRIM Summer Academy 2023, which we jointly organized during my tenure as President of the Romanian Society of Radiology and Medical Imaging. This event, hosted by Dr. Bauer in Palkonya, Hungary, provided an environment that facilitated not only the exchange of knowledge but also unique opportunities for social interaction. Ferdinand’s warm atmosphere and hospitality turned this summer academy into an unforgettable experience for all participants.
