Center of radiology

Radiologie und Nuklearmedizin Kaufbeuren-Landsberg-Füssen is a medically managed, private radiology service provider that originated in 2009/2010 through a merger of the radiology practices in Kaufbeuren and Landsberg am Lech.

By pooling resources and offering the opportunity for medical specialisation, the joint goal is to ensure a high level of medical and technical care for outpatients in the region. The clinic sector (including teleradiology), which was founded at the same time, specialises in the needs of clinics with interventional radiology specialists.

In addition to its traditional practice location in Kaufbeuren, the company operates a fully equipped radiology clinic at the Landsberg am Lech hospital with outpatient health insurance accreditation. In addition to examining and treating inpatients at the hospital, radiology services are also available to all outpatients in the region.

Furthermore, an MRI scanner is operated on the hospital premises in cooperation with the Füssen hospital.

A total of 6 MRI scanners (2x3T and 4×1.5T MRI), 3 CT scanners (including 1×64-slice CT), 3 X-ray workstations, 2 mammography devices, 1 angiography/fluoroscopy unit and 3 ultrasound devices are available for patient care. The nuclear medicine department is equipped with a dual-head camera, a thyroid camera and a cardiac camera.
